You would always love to give the best impressions, as in general a person with suit & tie would fetch more than the candidate dressed in scruffy Jeans and a T- shirt.

Eating Right

During exams, students need to eat right and are required to take vitamins which enable them to perform well.

Given below, some tips on what food to eat during exams to keep you fit and get going.
Iron and B vitamins are essential to keep both physical and mental energy of a body to study well. Good source of iron are red meat, cereal and spinach, and food that contains B vitamins are whole-grain, wheat germ, eggs and nuts. Fish and soy are other food that helps in boosting your brain by providing required nutrients.

Taking dietary supplement is good, but real food is better. So keep handy of fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges, carrot sticks or dried apricots which contain vitamins, fibre, beta carotene and other essential minerals.

Eating regular meals helps keeping nutrients and energy levels more stable, rather than taking the standard 3 big meals a day which will make you slow physically and mentally.

Take your breakfast everyday as its one of the most important meal of the day. A cup of tea and biscuits are not the right bite, the idea is to get some protein, fibre, calcium, fruits or vegetables. A bowl of cereal with milk or yogurt with slices of fruits would do wonders.

Blueberries are good for brains, because they contain powerful antioxidants and other nutrients. The natural sugars in fruit offer clean energy, so you don’t experience the crash that follows consumption of refined sugar.

All vegetables are not created equal; take the vegies which are darker in colour as they contain higher concentration of nutrients. E.g. spinach, bell peppers, broccoli, and sweet potatoes.

Choose your beverages well, though. Caffeine and sugar should be kept to a minimum. Since too much caffeine can make you jittery, try to drink moderate amounts: 2/2.5 cups per day. Better choices include water, fruit juice, milk, and anti-oxidant-rich green tea.

Sports plays an important role in a student's life, at Manav Rachna International University.

Revisiting some of the important elements of success in a student’s life, Sports can be recognized as an essential contributor in shaping a successful academic life of a student.
When we talk of sports, it is narrowed down to the concept of playing ‘a’ particular game, or a sport.  When we talk of sports persons we often relate it with athletes or the sports champions and most necessarily in India, cricketers.

How a student’s life is associated with sports?

When we fail to associate sports as a way of life, we fail to decipher the meaning of the word ‘SPORTS’ and its benefits to all the members of the society.
The purpose of introducing sports in primary, secondary and university level of education is still a disillusioned subject in India.

Sports is often encouraged as a part of education system but now many perceive it as it being ‘education’ itself. Interest in any sporting activity allows students from any academic background to boost their confidence and rejuvenate themselves as they are exhausted by our rote learning system.

Sports field is the only platform where all students can weigh their own potential and stamina to fight and excel. A spirit of ‘do or die’ is generated giving each student hope to perform better in the next round. This essentially helps students in training their minds in the right manner and shaping positive attitude towards their career, as they can acknowledge failure and success with equal zeal.

Universities must encourage sports and ensure good infrastructural setups in the campus, for students to choose their interest games (indoor/outdoor). This is the most effective & efficient therapy as a part of improving the soft skills of the students, preparing them to take on the challenges in their respective fields with the same sporting spirit.

Most of the educational institutes facilitates compulsory extracurricular and physical education once every week. This however does not benefit students in long term as the goal to improve students’ state of health and physical condition can be achieved through regular sporting exercises.

Most of the Universities have sports centers to engage their students in different sporting disciplines which include badminton, table tennis, carom, cycling, basket ball, football and some brain cracking games like chess and sudoko.

Experience has shown that regular sports exercises are beneficial to students’ academic achievements and shared training often brings students together.

Manav Rachna International University(MRIU) have set example with the stupendous performance of their students’ in various sports discipline. Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) has acclaimed a good position when it comes to sports participation among-st its students.

Alumni members of MRIU like Gagan Narang, an Ace Shooter, have etched his name in the International sports platform making the nation proud. He is the Alumni of Faculty of Management Studies at MRIU, and was felicitated by the Hon’ble Minister of Sports of India Shri Sarbananda Sonowal at Vigyan Bhawan this year for his recent achievements in Common Wealth and Asian Games.

MRIU not only boasts about their sports champions who have passed out from the University but also takes pride in the sporting attitude of its students who have achieved excellence in their respective fields.
MRIU has the state-of-the art facilities and infrastructure, enabling its students to benefit the most and excel in their academics and other chosen fields.Sports is given utmost priority at the MRIU, which encourages its students to participate in indoor and outdoor sports activities as well as represent their university in National Inter-university competitions. The sports culture of the college has inculcated a winning spree and a sportsman attitude among its students leading them to become more active, energized, and focused in their career.

Campus Placement Management System

Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) at Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) has introduced a student friendly web application for their placement cell. This application aims to bring all the stake holders including students, faculties, recruiters, placement coordinators and various departments on one single platform. This application will update the students about the companies visiting the University for the ‘On Campus Placement’.

This Campus Placement Management System (CPMS) launched recently at MRIU is meticulously designed to aid students in planning their career approach. Campus placement cell serves as an important platform for students to get their first job or start their career in the right place at the right time.

Students can now register online with their placement cell and even list down their ‘dream job companies’. This will allow the University to prepare collect data of students who prefer ‘a particular’ company’. Once the students have prescribed their job preferences based on the companies visiting the college campus, they are sent alerts with all the details about the company and their required credentials.

This helps students prepare well for their on campus placement interviews. The CPMS also helps in mitigating chances of wasting a placement seat in a company as it updates the placement coordinators on the placement status of each student during the on campus placement.

It is not only the students who benefit from this system but the companies who come to recruit fresher’s and give them direct entry to the organization are able to pick the best from the lot.

In the present situation with umpteen options and increasing competition in the job market, students often reflect a confused mindset. They have a higher tendency to apply for all the available job options irrespective of their interest. This lands them into a greater trouble in the later course of their career.

Companies have often expressed their regret on picking a wrong candidate from the on campus placement system. They believe that best students are already picked by the company who visits the campus first.

The data collected by the CPMS in MRIU automatically updates the preferences mentioned by students about their desired company, job role and expected pay package. This helps the company assess and filter the students on the basis of their inputs(if provided by students) and thus plan their  potential candidates for the interview. Students are sent alerts reminding them of the interviwew dates on a regular basis.

The manual procedure of registering for the campus placement is tiem consuming and creates trouble for both the students and the University in managing data and information. Often students miss the dead line as they have to physically approach the placement cell office and stand in queue for hours to get themselves registerd.

The purpose of CPMS is not only to make the on campus placement process less tiresome but to create one staorage place for all the information concerning one student.

The CPMS allows students at MRIU to maintain an organized Resume which is automatically updated with their academic records submitted to the administration at the time of their admission.

This one applicant can manage three bodies, namely recruiters, students and the University in a coordinated manner reducing chances of data loss and data duplication. It further maintains the data log of all its students for future reference of the University and the recruiting companies.

Each student of MRIU will be allotted a separate login ID gives them access to this CPMS application where they can receive all the information and status report of the on campus placement.

All required information pertaining to recruiting company, their required qualification criteria, their eligibility criteria, list of approaching companies for the campus recruitment, schedule of interview dates as well as online registration is now available from time to time to the students who are registered with the placement cell via the CPMS.

Campus placement is one of the most essential stages in a student’s life. A cogent decision at this stage helps students achieve their goal in lesser time. MRIU has attempted to simplify this decision making process for students to have a successful career at the right place.
